In a world of constant noise, speed, and pressure, stillness feels almost unnatural — even uncomfortable. We equate busyness with productivity, and silence with emptiness. But God calls us into a deeper way: “Be still, and know that I am God.”
This is not just an invitation to pause — it’s a command to surrender. Stillness is not inactivity; it’s an act of faith. It’s letting go of control, releasing the urge to fix everything ourselves, and recognizing that He is God and we are not.
When we still our souls before Him, we make space to hear His voice, feel His presence, and be reminded that He holds the world — and our lives — in His hands.
Today, dare to slow down. Find a moment to be still — even if only for a few minutes — and let that moment remind you of who He is.

God, in the midst of my busyness, help me be still. Quiet my racing thoughts and anxious heart. Remind me that You are in control, and that I am safe in Your hands. Amen.
