📖 Bible Verse of the Day
“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.”
Psalm 23:1
💡 Devotional
In a world that constantly tells us we need more — more money, more status, more success — David’s words are a radical declaration of trust: “I lack nothing.” How could he say that, especially as someone who experienced danger, betrayal, and loss?
Because David knew something deeper — he had a Shepherd. Not just a distant God or an abstract force, but a present, caring, guiding Lord. A shepherd who knows when to lead, when to make us lie down, when to restore, and when to protect.
To say, “I lack nothing,” is not to deny pain or need, but to confess a greater truth: that with God, we already have everything our soul truly needs — love, security, purpose, and eternal hope.
So today, instead of measuring what’s missing, pause and reflect on what you already have in Him. In the Shepherd’s care, you’re never truly lacking.
🙏 Prayer
Lord, You are my Shepherd. Thank You for leading me with love and providing all I need. Help me trust You more deeply and rest in Your care today. Amen.
