When You’re Waiting on God for an Answer
Bible Verse:
"Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."
— Psalm 27:14 (NIV)
Devotional Thought:
Waiting is hard.
Especially when you’ve prayed the same prayer over and over — and it feels like all you’re getting is silence.
Maybe you’re waiting for healing.
Or a job opportunity.
Or a baby.
Or reconciliation in a relationship.
Maybe you’re waiting for something — anything — to change.
And the longer you wait, the more you start to wonder:
Is God even listening?
But here’s the truth your waiting heart needs:
God’s silence is never His absence. And His delay is not His denial.
Sometimes, in the waiting, God is doing His deepest work — not just around you, but within you. He’s shaping your trust, strengthening your faith, and preparing the answer in ways you can’t yet see.
Even when it feels like nothing is happening — something is happening.
He’s still God in the silence.
He’s still good in the waiting.
Honest Prayer:
Lord,
I’ve been waiting for so long. I’m tired, discouraged, and starting to lose hope. Sometimes I wonder if You’ve forgotten me. But I choose to trust You — even when I don’t understand. Give me strength to wait with faith, not fear. Teach me to cling to Your promises, even when I can’t see the outcome. I believe You are working, even in the silence.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
Reflection Questions:

-
What can you do this week to stay connected to God during your season of waiting?
A Gentle Reminder:
You may not see the full picture yet, but God holds every piece.
And when the time is right, He will not delay.
